Eventbrite Now Allows Organizers sync Event Data Directly with their WordPress.com Site

23 September 2013

Brisbane: Eventbrite has joined with Automattic to combine its event ticketing service into WordPress.com, allowing managed-hosted blogs to power precise themes and widgets that will keep their page modern with the newest on their forthcoming event.

Starting now, organizers who want to effortlessly endorse their event on their WordPress-powered site, can add in Eventbrite into it and just deal with the details and specifics through a central interface and have any changes be reflected on both their site and on the Eventbrite registration page.

In addition, this joint venture now makes it feasible to create an event calendar so if your company hosts various events a month, then you can curate all of the related events and embed them right on your site.

Finally, organizers can now add a widget on their site without wanting to revise any of their source code.

Eventbrite’s Mitch Colleran, its head of global partnerships, says that this relationship came out of an observation that showed organizers were replicating events on their WordPress.com sites and therefore, it decided to move forward. Prior to this, the only type of integration rest with the installation of plug-ins or through a self-hosted option. Eventbrite bills this partnership as enabling event information to “seamlessly sync” between its service and WordPress.

Incorporating into WordPress.com is really a rather major move for Eventbrite. After all, WordPress.com is home to more than 70 million sites, together with those belonging to CNN, the National Football League, and other remarkables like Jay-Z, the Rolling Stones, Lollapalooza, UPS, GM, and eBay. It’s not just those who want to build a blog and that’s it, but those companies that trust in Automattic for its VIP service.

If you’re also one to keep track, this is the first association Eventbrite has made since it achieved Lanyrd and Eventioz previous week.

This addition is only for blogs and sites hosted on WordPress.com. For those self-hosted, you will have to to use the plug-in.
